Farming, Agriculture, and Resource Management for Sustainability (FARMS) is established as a stand-alone high-school education program.

CLBL breaks ground on a new 30-acre headquarters at The Maples Farm in Woodland, California, providing field and classroom learning space for programs and the community.

Speaker series

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to connect with fellow land stewards, gain valuable insights into sustainable practices, and enjoy a hot pizza and a cold beverage. At our August event, we’ll explore diverse markets for small farmers with a panel of experts from Magpie Cafe, Spork Food Hub, the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op, and our own Mobile Farmers Market. Whether you’re a farmer, food entrepreneur, or just passionate about local food systems, this event is packed with valuable insights and great conversation.

Farm Business Planning

This comprehensive 12-week virtual course is designed for aspiring and established farmers who want to develop a robust business plan. Class will be online and interactive. We’ll cover essential components of farm business planning, with practical tools and insights to navigate the complexities of the agricultural industry.

Mobile Farmers Market Weekly schedule

Our Mobile Farmers Market starts its Weekly Summer Schedule May 13th. Choose from one of 11 stops throughout Yolo County from West Sacramento and Woodland to Esparto and Knights Landing! Put us on your weekly shopping list and enjoy local, seasonal produce at affordable prices.

All the produce offered is grown by local farmers within 100 miles, and the majority of it is grown within 25 miles. Everyone who qualifies for CalFresh/SNAP benefits will receive a 50% discount.
