Big Day of Giving
You can put a student on a pathway to a career in agriculture. You can help a beginning farmer get started farming. You can change a life.
"It got me excited for the future and things I can pursue.” —FARMS Leadership program student
Big Day of Giving is Sacramento’s 24-hour online giving challenge. For one day each year, non-profits in Sacramento, Placer and Yolo Counties ask their friends and neighbors to celebrate the spirit of giving.
Again this year, the Center for Land-Based Learning is participating and your donation is essential! When you donate, you show that you care about the future of agriculture and want to make a difference in the lives of thousands each year.

Your shares, likes, and retweets will let your followers know that you support the Center for Land-Based Learning and that you care about the future of agriculture in California.
Do you keep #farmershours? If so, make your donation between 5 a.m. - 6 a.m. on May 4th to help us win an extra $1,000 and get to the top of the leaderboard.
Your donation will ensure that:
- Beginning farmers are trained and supported in their new farming venture. Your donation makes sure that workshops and personalized mentoring is available to new farmers.
- High school students are put on a pathway to careers and college.
- Youth (18-24) are connected with paid internships and job shadows in agriculture and environmental science based businesses.
- Future generations of farmers, agricultural leaders and natural resource stewards are creating robust and sustainable agriculture in balance with an ecologically vibrant California.
Donate on May 4 at our unique link or schedule your donation in advance now: bigdayofgiving.org.
