Western Region President, CoBank

Leili Ghazi is responsible for managing the agribusiness lending operations of CoBank’s Western Region, which includes the Sacramento and Spokane banking centers. These banking centers support agribusiness customers in 10 states, including California, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, Oregon, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Hawaii and Alaska. Ms. Ghazi also manages the bank’s relationship with Farm Credit associations serving the western United States.

Ms. Ghazi’s team specializes in serving the needs of Farm Credit associations as well as agricultural cooperatives that process, market, transport and export agricultural commodities. The majority of these customers are in the fruit, nut and vegetable; wine; dairy and livestock industries. Ms. Ghazi is based in Sacramento and is a member of CoBank’s Senior Leadership Team. Prior to becoming Western Region president, Ms. Ghazi served as senior vice president and division manager for CoBank’s Agricultural Export Finance Division. In that role, she oversaw the bank’s international banking and trade finance business in support of U.S. agricultural product exports.

Ms. Ghazi joined CoBank in 2010 as a member of the bank’s Regional Agribusiness Banking Group based in Sacramento. Prior to joining CoBank, Ms. Ghazi spent 19 years with the Bank of Montreal group of companies.

Ms. Ghazi earned a bachelor’s degree in international political economy from the University of California at Berkeley, an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the board of directors for the Agriculture Council of California.
