Flight Around the Buttes

Value $800

Flight Around the Buttes is a one hour airplane ride around the Sutter Buttes out of the Yuba City airport.

“Before modern levees and dams were built to contain the rivers, winter storms and spring run-off frequently turned the Sacramento Valley into an inland sea, making the Buttes an island refuge for California Indians, settlers and wildlife. The Buttes have had many names over the years. The Maidu Indians called them “Histum Yani” which translates as, “Middle Mountains of the Valley” or “Spirit Mountain,” depending on the source.”
--California Department of Parks and Recreation

The flight is donated by and courtesy of Rob Ryan with Ryan Wealth Management. Prior to become a financial advisor, Rob was a naval aviator with over 2000 hours in an FA-18 Hornet, 180 carrier landings, and six combat missions over Iraq. He’s an excellent pilot and he very much enjoys sharing his passion for flying with others.
