Master Farm Options

A Master Farm is where apprentices will be placed for their On the Job training hours. These Master Farms are located in the Sacramento and Yolo county areas.

Soil Born Farms

Soil Born Farms is a nonprofit organization, with 55-acre farm located in Rancho Cordova, 15 minutes from Sacramento. During your time here as apprentice you will be exposed to all aspects of food production. Learn more »

Say Hay Farms

Say Hay Farms was started in 2010 with 100 hens and 2.5 acres. The farm now boasts 50 acres of vegetables and over 1600 hens at their location in Esparto, CA. Say Hay farms is an integrated diversified vegetable and pasture operation. The entire farm is certified organic by CCOF. Their mission is a two-fold approach to ‘sustainability.’ Learn more »

Rominger Brothers Farms, Inc.

Rominger Brothers Farms is a diversified family farm in California’s Central Valley. The farm currently produces processing tomatoes, wheat, corn, alfalfa, sunflowers, safflower, rice, seed crops, oat hay, almonds, walnuts and wine grapes on around 4000 acres. Learn more »

It's important that applicants have a realistic idea of what the program involves as well as their ability to fully participate from beginning to end.
