Christine McMorrow

Director of Development

Christine joined the Center for Land-Based Learning as the Director of the FARMS Leadership program in March 2013. For ten years, Christine worked as the Program Manager and then as Executive Director of Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships, where she designed and implemented service learning projects for k-12 youth throughout North Lake Tahoe and Truckee. During this tenure, Christine expanded the number of project-based learning sites, developed school-wide science discovery programs and oversaw the development of a high school environmental club, whose projects have impacted local, State and National audiences. In 2014, Christine was promoted to Director of Development.

Since graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Crop Science, Christine has earned her teaching credential and served as a Rotary International Ambassador of Peace and Goodwill in New Zealand, where she studied environmental education. She has been active in community groups, serving on non-profit, school and community boards. Christine enjoys mountain biking, stand-up paddling and backpacking.
