Beth Del Real

Caring for our Watersheds Coordinator

Beth Del Real, with the Center for Land-Based Learning since 2009, coordinates the Caring for Our Watersheds Program as well as SLEWS field days. Beth holds a B.S. in Secondary Education and has 18 years of experience in the fields of Natural Resource Management and Environmental Education. Before starting with Land-Based Learning, Beth spent 8 years working for the National Park Service, stationed at amazing places such as the Grand Canyon, Haleakala in Maui, and Point Reyes National Seashore.

Beth feels lucky to have a position that fuses her passions for environmental stewardship and youth development. When not at the Center for Land-Based Learning, she is busy with the adventure of mothering her two children, exploring the outdoors on foot and bicycle, and tending her small garden patch. Beth lives in Sacramento, is grateful for local rides on American River Bike trail, and rejuvenated by travels to the coast and mountains with her family.
