Farming, Agriculture, and Resource Management for Sustainability (FARMS) is established as a stand-alone high-school education program.

CLBL breaks ground on a new 30-acre headquarters at The Maples Farm in Woodland, California, providing field and classroom learning space for programs and the community.

New ideas are always germinating at CLBL, and there’s no better way to get involved than to show up and dig in. Throughout the year you can connect with us by attending events, registering for a program, volunteering, shopping at the Mobile Farmers Market Truck, and more!

Welding 101 Workshop

Our introductory welding workshops are held in a newly remodeled welding shop at our headquarters in Woodland. Our fall class begins November 4th. Students gain hands-on practice using an arc welder and oxy-acetylene torch to modify and repair tools for the exact equipment they need. To join an upcoming class, please complete this interest form.

AgHire applications open

AgHiRE is an innovative training program specifically for the Spanish-speaking agricultural workforce. Our goal is to assist employers in developing the inherent potential within their teams, ensuring each employee reaches their highest capability. If you have an employee who shows potential for more responsibility, enroll them today. Deadline to enroll is October 25th.

Speaker Series: Oct 16th

Join us on Wednesday, October 16th for the final Speaker Series event of the season and learn about opportunities available to small farms and food businesses. Our friends from the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Southwest Regional Food Business Center (SWRFBC) will discuss resources and how you may be able to access them.
