Kyle is an operations manager for Allied Grape Growers, a grower-run marketing cooperative and brokerage, and is responsible for coordinating grape sales, advising on farming practices, managing customer relationships, and serving industry members across California. Kyle previously directed operations on more than 1,500 acres of premium wine grapes in Lodi and Clarksburg.
As a child, he and his brothers raised breeding cattle, goats, sheep, hogs, and, of course, wine grapes. This life-long immersion in agriculture, in part, drove a desire to challenge his worldview, and he went on to obtain his B.A. in political science from the University of Oregon in Eugene before returning to his agricultural roots and earning a M.P.P. in agricultural policy from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Today, he serves on the FFA advisory committee at Tokay High School, is an advisory board member on the Labor and Automation in California Agriculture project at UC Merced, an alternate on the State Winegrape Inspection Committee, and a director-at-large for the Lodi District Grape Growers Board of Directors.
