Courtney Tarrant joined CLBL in September 2023 as the California Farm Academy Outreach Coordinator. Courtney brings forth her experience and passion for education, agriculture, and local food systems to her position. Courtney received her BA in Forensic Psychology and MA in Latin American Studies from UC San Diego. 

Courtney has worked in the education sector through Sacramento State’s Migrant Student Leadership Institute and the Illinois Migrant Education Program where she focused on developing and administering educational curriculum to support student retention and success. Prior to CLBL, she managed community outreach programs at BriarPatch Food Co-op where she doubled their program impact. Her work has focused on strengthening educational resources in the food system at large. When she’s not working, you can find her in the garden, enjoying a meal with friends, or near a river or lake.
