Antonio Gonzalez

SLEWS Program Coordinator Sacramento/San Joaquin

Antonio Gonzalez is a proud Sacramento native with family roots in Mexico. His passion for environmental justice and education led him to join the Center for Land-Based Learning in September, 2024 as the SLEWS coordinator for the Sacramento/San Joaquin region.

Antonio comes from an education background having taught grades 4-8 in a variety of subjects. After spending seven years living in Berlin, Germany, Antonio looks forward to re-establishing roots in the Sacramento area by getting involved in volunteer opportunities with underserved communities especially in areas of food access and health. Antonio likes nerding out with topics such as running, agroecology, urban design and celebrating the cultural diversity of Sacramento.
