Bike Tour FAQ

What is the route?

Please see the attached map showing the entire bike route. Not all of the route has access to bike lanes, however, we are avoiding all heavily trafficked streets. The ride begins at Lake Washington Farm, 1990 Lake Washington Blvd., West Sacramento.

What difficulty level is the ride?

The ride is easy to moderate--almost entirely flat with the exception of one short hill. The ride will be done at a leisurely pace.

How long is the ride? (distance)

The total ground covered is approximately 7 miles with the longest continuous run going for about 2.5 miles.

Is the event kid friendly?

We suggest only experienced bike riders, so no training wheels. Depending on your kids experience we recommend kids ages 10 or older with comparable rides under their belt. We will be traveling as a group from site to site.

What do I need to bring?

Be prepared with bottles of water & any snacks you might need to keep you going. There are no bathrooms on the farm sites themselves but at two of the three locations access to nearby bathrooms is available. Wear sunscreen & any safety gear you like!

Will there be things for Sale?

We will finish the tour at the Cummins Way Farm site, corner of Cummins Way and Douglas St. in West Sacramento. Homemade delicious treats from Devil May Care Ice Cream will be for sale at the very end. If you would like to buy produce, please bring a bag or bike basket to hold your goods. Cash only.
