Summary of the Day: On Thursday, December 3rd, 2020, the Kern County FARMS Advanced and Leadership Program from McFarland High School had a zoom field day with Tasteful selections. Tasteful Selections began with multi-generational potato farmers. They then took the opportunity to expand the potato category to meet the needs of your busy day to day consumer for easier and convenient meals.
Today Tasteful Selections is the leader of the unique potato category. They grow bite-sized potatoes as a convenient source of nutrition and variety for everyday meals. Tasteful Selections just recently had their 10-year anniversary. They are growers, packer, and shipper of the bite-sized potatoes. They do it ALL!!!
This family farming company had one goal in mind, which was to fit busy life styles by growing bite-sized potatoes to consume and taste great! They have over one hundred varieties of potatoes with multiple colors. The process of growing the bite-sized potatoes only takes 75-90 days till they harvest them. The potatoes stay bite-sized because the growth is stopped when they harvest them. Bite-sized potatoes are a vegetable packed full of nutritional powers! They include Vitamin C, B6, Iron, Protein and provide more Potassium than a banana. These potatoes are gluten free, high in fiber and rich in minerals with no additives or GMOs. Tasteful Selections products are located in over 1500+ retail stores across the country.
