Summary of the Day  Mary Pat Peterson, owner and FARMS Alumni, took students on a fun virtual tour of her pumpkin patch! She discussed the different varieties of pumpkins they grow as well as what all goes into the planning, planting, growing, and harvesting of pumpkins. Mary Pat and her sister began this pumpkin patch as an opportunity to bring local pumpkins to their local schools and community. It has grown into a family friendly place for locals to enjoy spending the day outdoors playing fun games, going for a hay ride, and picking out that perfect pumpkin to carve into a “Jack O Lantern”. All Tehama and North State Region FARMS Students received a fun kit that provided the tools needed for students to clean out their pumpkins and roast their pumpkin seeds as well as carve their own Jack O Lanterns! Thank you Peterson Sisters Pumpkin Patch!!
