Michael Polis

Attorney and Licensed CPA, Wilke, Fleury

Mike Polis is a healthcare attorney whose 25 year practice at Wilke Fleury focuses on Knox-Keene Act licensed health care service plans and insurance regulatory matters. He represents health care providers, including physicians, dentists, optometrists, MSOs, IPAs and practice management companies. Mike provides legal services to Narcotic Treatment Programs, residential and non-residential alcohol and substance abuse facilities and Federally Qualified Health Centers. He also provides legal counsel to individuals and business entities on tax, 1031 Exchanges, bankruptcy and general corporate-related legal issues.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in business and managerial economics at University of California, Los Angeles and attended McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. Mike teaches business law, legal research and writing at University of California, Davis.

Lawyer and CPA by day, in his free time Mike owns and operates Pomopolis Farms, a sheep ranch located at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Pomopolis Farms’ specialize in making affordable lamb available to the local community, including those who desire halal raised meat. In addition to Mike, Pomopolis Farms’ is managed by his two sons, Ethan (an animal biology student at UC Davis) and Matthew (a student at Oakmont High School in Roseville, CA), and wife, Julie (a teacher at El Camino High School in Carmichael, CA).
