Dinner Prepared By:
Mayahuel Executive Chef, Ernesto Delgado

Ernesto Delgado | Mayahuel |

From his birthplace in Michoacán México, where he played while watching his father till the soil and harvest corn - to his youth in the lush Napa Valley, Señor Ernesto Delgado has had a reverence for the importance of the soil, the land, and the circle of life that begins with each seed.

Ernesto Delgado owns Mayahuel Tequila Museo, an eatery that exemplifies our good fortune living in the Sacramento Valley. Soon, he will open Mesa Mercado in the lovely Milagro Centre of Carmichael. A third restaurant, La Cosecha by Mayahuel and a market, called Hunt and Gather will open this fall.

He has worked in the restaurant business since the age of fourteen, a few jobs in upscale restaurants of the Napa Valley. Graduating from Sacramento State University with a degree in Design, he has artfully combined his aesthetic principles with a lifelong love of Mexican food and culture – bringing diverse flavors, original art , and fine Tequilas and Mezcales together for a complete cultural experience.

Señor Delgado celebrates the exhilaration and excitement of being a food entrepreneur. He loves to share with his guests how the commitment to devoting one’s life to the art that exists in all that is around us elevates his food to something that transcends the ingredients into amazing dishes which evoke the flavors of true México.

Ernesto Delgado’s passion for his culture can be seen on Mayahuel’s website. The beauty of México can be experienced through the freshness and creativity of the food, unique cocktails, fine Tequilas and Mezcales, and original art in every aspect of each establishment he creates. When you see the words ‘A Señor Ernesto Delgado Establishment’, you can be assured you’ll have an incomparable Mexican cultural experience.
