A Day on the Bay

Enjoy the San Francisco Bay like few people ever do-sailing the Bay on a beautiful 36’ sailboat! Up to 10 guests will be treated to a half-day sailing adventure. We leave from Sausalito and sail to Angel Island for a catered lunch. Then warm, sunny sailing around Marin, followed by (if the group would like) a sail out under the Golden Gate bridge, around Alcatraz, and down the City-front. Sailing lessons given to those interested. Take a turn at the helm! Led by owner-captain Chris Yalonis, and Land-Based Learning board member, our sailing adventure on board "Seas the Day", will provide a wonderful memory for you and your friends or family.

This dinner for 12 will feature all of the things you love about Dinner on the Farm: a great setting, seasonal ingredients, amazing chef, delicious wine and a table full of good friends. Wines from Sobon Estate and Shenandoah Vineyards, Amador County, will be paired with each course.

During the days wander to the markets of nearby Aix-en-Provence and Riez, visit the famous Gorges du Verdon, hike, or simply wander the back roads of the countryside, picnicking, wine tasting and exploring the villages. A medieval village house in St. Martin de Bromes, in the heart of Provence, is yours for a week. Completely renovated, the house belongs to award-winning cookbook author Georgeanne Brennan and her daughter, author and stylist, Ethel Brennan. Two bedrooms on two floors, bath, small kitchen and dining area, with dishwasher, washer and dryer, it is ideal for 2 to 4 people to share an unforgettable holiday and experience.

Evening cruise for 10 on a classic 1957 Stephens Motor Yacht

An evening cruise for 10 on Contessa the 50' classic 1957 Stephens Motor Yacht built in Stockton, California by Stephens Bros. the premier private yacht builder of their time. The cocktail cruise will be followed by dinner and croquet at the Historic Delta Manor Orchard Gables. Orchard Gables, in Walnut Grove, has the unique provenance as John Stanford Brown’s home and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. From the 1900s until his death in 1952, John Stanford was a major figure in the financial and business life of Walnut Grove and the broader Sacramento delta region. Dinner will be served in the summer kitchen better known as the Hemingway House. Time and date to be determined by mutual availability.

The Liberty Cruiser was designed by a Bay Area graphic artist and custom built by The Cruiser Shop in Campbell, California. The smooth riding single-speed Cruiser includes a leather seat and hand grips, LED lights on the front and back, and collapsible rear mounted wire baskets to allow for easy transport of groceries. Each Cruiser is individually numbered to spark conversation with fellow Cruiser owners riding around town.
