Speaker Series: Soil Fertility for Healthy Plants
Come join us at the Center for Land-Based Learning to connect with farmers, land stewards, and the ag-curious about building healthy soil. Kimberly Cook from Agromin. Compost is like a probiotic for your soil. It improves the soil’s biodiversity, helps soils retain water, and makes nutrients more bio available to plants. Compost supports the soil’s chemical, physical, and biological components and healthy soils create healthy plants! We’ll also discuss ongoing research about the use of biochar and compost in a young olive orchard.
Join us for woodfired pizza straight out of the oven, a cold beer, and the opportunity to connect and gain valuable insights.
