Apprenticeship Program
Are You New to Agriculture?
There is not a specific level of agricultural experience that is required for the CFA Apprenticeship Program, but it is strongly recommended that applicants have some experience.
If you are new to agriculture, there are several excellent programs that provide farming opportunities:
- Rogue Farm Corps
- MESA
- CASFS Center for Agriculture and Farming Systems, UC Santa Cruz
- Pie Ranch
- First Generation Farmers - Urban Edge Sustainable Farmers
- Full Belly Farm
An additional option is to get experience by working on a farm for a season or two. Some resources to find these jobs are available at:
