Youth Programs Coordinator
Nyah Sadler joined CLBL as the Youth Programs Coordinator in July of 2022. She was born and raised in Sacramento, and being a SLEWS alumni is what got her introduced to CLBL. Growing up art has always been an important part of her life and she takes pride in being multi-passionate. She has a strong background in creative writing, painting, digital media design, and jewelry making–all of which led her to start her own business in the creative realm. Her career transition into agriculture was an unexpected blessing. She studied environmental horticulture in high school–from which she was first introduced to the SLEWS program–but went on to pursue further education in English Literature, Architecture, and Design Tech.
With the onslaught of the pandemic she was given time to reflect on what really brings her joy–the moments she spends outdoors. Working in gardens and plant nurseries has helped her strengthen her connection with herself and the planet, and CLBL is a place where she can continually learn and pass knowledge onto the younger generation. Community has always been important to her and being able to give back to hers each day is a gift that will keep on giving.
