Lisa Kain


Lisa joined the Center for Land-Based Learning in January 2016. As the controller, she is responsible for the accuracy of CLBL’s financial reporting.

Lisa holds a Florida CPA license and an Illinois CPA certificate. She earned a Master of Accounting from Florida Atlantic University (2014), a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Benedictine University (1996), and an Associate of Arts in Accounting from Joliet Junior College (1994). After more than twenty years in the field of accounting, her professional experience includes working with non-profit organizations, privately held companies, and publicly traded multinationals.

Lisa is a member of several professional organizations including the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Lisa is married to her high-school sweetheart, and they have two daughters. They enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. Biking, hiking, swimming, and looking for wildlife are some of their favorite family activities.
