Development Associate

Katrina Ferro joined Center for Land-Based Learning in August of 2018. She works closely with donor stewardship, gift processing and our most recent Capital Campaign. She has extensive experience working in an administrative role with local nonprofits and small businesses. Her passion for feeding people healthy food, education and organizational skills are qualities that will benefit our team.

Katrina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Cultural Biology from Sacramento State University; and is completing a certificate in Project Management from UC Berkeley. While at CSUS, she worked as the Dean’s Assistant and Mentor with Opening Doors Inc. a local non-profit. These two positions inspired her to focus on non-profit administration and program development. Shortly after graduation she obtained a position with Yolo Farm to Fork as a Program Coordinator, running the Growing Lunch program, and Bookkeeper.

Being a Yolo County native, growing up in Woodland, CA. she has always had a love for agriculture and education. Her passions are running with her two dogs Olive & Erin, gardening and reading. Most recently she accepted a Master candidacy in Child Development with a concentration in Nutrition. In her free time you will find her at a local brewery, bookstore or running around town with her pups.
