Beginning Farm & Ranch Manager Apprentice
Erin Morris is the first-ever Apprentice of The Maples Farm at the Center for Land-Based Learning. In her new role as an Apprentice in our Beginning Farm and Ranch Manager Apprenticeship, Erin will work in collaboration with our Farm Incubator Program Manager to learn the finer details of managing a farm and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to one day become a Farm Manager.
Upon graduating from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Science in International Agricultural Development, Erin spent a year working as an AmeriCorps Member and educated the public on gardening, nutrition, and healthy living. Following a short stint in the start-up world, Erin spent five years working as a Program Manager for a San Francisco based non-profit focused on helping small businesses grow and flourish.
A native of Southern California, Erin has established strong roots in Northern California and is excited to enter the next chapter of her life. When she isn’t out on the farm, Erin enjoys exploring her new neighborhood in Sacramento, watching baseball, spending time with her dog, and going out for a peaceful bike ride.
