Khristine Pintor is a Community Food Program Coordinator and the lead farmer at Riverfront Farm in West Sacramento. She has been involved with Riverfront Farm and CLBL since 2020 as a seasonal volunteer and intern. She has also worked at CLBL incubator farms including We Grow Urban Farm, Three Sisters Gardens, and Whole Hearted Blooms, Inc., as well as Yisrael Family Farm.
Her interest in regenerative agriculture, horticulture, and biology stems from her curiosity and desire to improve the state of her family’s well-being and quality of life, along with the support and mentorship of all of the farmers she had the opportunity to grow with. She previously worked as a Student Assistant Groundskeeper while pursuing a BS degree in Biological Sciences-Clinical Laboratory Science at Sacramento State University to guide her towards the “right” career path. Later, she came to realize that her time spent working outdoors, learning about people-food-land relationships, intentionally connecting with the natural world and interacting with hard-working farmers is what made sense and what felt right. In her free time, she enjoys foraging for wild foods and medicinal plants, soap-making, stamp-carving, tattooing, mushroom cultivation, photography, playing instruments and working on her gardening service, Groovy Gardens and Sun & Soil Productions, a photography/videography service.
