Leticia Hernandez is a Salinas native, mom, volunteer, community gardener, advocate, and educator. She began working for the Center for Land-Based Learning in 2018 as the Monterey Bay FARMS Program Coordinator and now manages the organization’s statewide FARMS alumni and internship program. Her passion for education, urban agriculture, and mentoring drives her work.
Leti serves the Salinas community through her work as the founder of the Local Urban Gardeners and the Community Garden and Learning Lab at Natividad Creek Park. For the past eight years, she has been a dedicated steward of this space, fostering curiosity, growth and community. In her off time, Leti enjoys traveling, baking, dancing, gardening, and cherishing moments with her children and dogs.
