Ventura joined CLBL as the Coastal FARMS Coordinator in July 2022. She is responsible for connecting students from Santa Cruz and Monterey counties with local agriculture businesses. Born and raised in Watsonville, California, Ventura graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Agricultural Science [concentration in Agricultural Business] and a minor in Spanish. Ventura is a first generation college student, who early on in her life saw the importance of higher education and wants to encourage others to forge their own path to college and beyond.She developed a passion for agriculture as a career when her family started a business in 2013. Seeing the impact agriculture had in her community, the jobs it created, and how innovative the industry is, inspired her to share this message with future generations.Ventura likes dedicating time to her family and friends. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, working out, and spending time with her dog Phoenix.
